Driving a car requires the utmost focus. However, 30 percent of the time, drivers engage themselves in secondary activities. For the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), munching on food, smoking, talking with someone inside the car, and turning up the volume of the car stereo are secondary activities that are forms of distractions. These can be harmful to drivers especially if they do it in a constant basis.
