With personal injury solicitors dealing with a rising number of cycling accident claims, despite the number of personal injuries sustained by the UK's road users falling consistently for many years, the government is continuing to look into how the health and fitness of cyclists can be improved. Prime Minister David Cameron revealed in August that he intends to put Britain on a level-footing with the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and other nations with higher cycling rates, and on December 6th, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport Robert Goodwill MP announced to the Cycling Networks Fit for Growth conference that he believes a two-pronged approach is required if the UK is to achieve this goal.
