Tattoos are an art form that are expressed on the human body and in order to ensure that the design will remain visible for a lifetime, the ink must be inserted under the top layer of skin. The machines that give tattoos pierce the skin repeatedly thousands of times per minute and create tiny open wounds on the epidermis. Because of the close contact with individuals, there are many health code requirements that exist in tattoo parlors. If these restrictions are disregarded, the health of patrons may be in jeopardy.
