On Monday March 7, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood keynoted a well publicized and anticipated online seminar on distracted driving and efforts people can make to reduce teen car accidents. The event was sponsored by Consumer Reports, a non-profit sponsored magazine that has recently had outstanding coverage on the dangers of distracted driving. While everyone agrees that distracted driving is dangerous and should be avoided, many question whether the federal government can do anything about it, especially as technology grows more and more prevalent.
